i dont think it can be done because the drum break on the rear is built into the rear drive i believe.
If you could do it, it would b a good thing 2 do 2 them. disk breaks is the only way 2 go.
Rear disk is good for weight savings, not better for braking. The drums on the rear will lock up and slide just like the disk brakes will. If your rear wont lock up, then you have bigger problems. The front is where the disks stoping power comes in. Rear drum brakes will last longer in a muddy enviroment since they are protected from the mud that eats brake pads like sandpaper on chalk.Quote:

anyways, the rear drums work great on mine. i usually use my front brakes anyways. thats where 60% of the stopping power
Were i ride at there is alot of mud, i use 2 hav a 250ex and couldnt keep breaks on it because of the drum breaks. yes the disk breaks would wear out fast. But the drum breaks didnt hold up on my 250 in the mud. Might of just been messed up or something i dont know.
