No I usually lower whatever I get from ssd suspension and thats it. If you lower it your not going to get through the ruts.
lowering shouldnt affect your ground clearance though...just your center of gravity.
I'm still going to run 20s on the back and 21s on the front.
i want to know the same thing. i cant afford suspension right now but my z400 is high and i want to put a durablue lowerin kit on
lowering kits arent designed to ake the abuse that xc racing will put on them, it wouldnt really be a safe mod. it might work, but i wouldnt want to risk it.
Bradley is right, lowering kits are not designed to take the abuse of XC racing. To lower your ride height take all the preload from the shocks.
I just got it! :eek2: I was wondering... okay, why do folks want to run the zero sag shocks in XC... seems like they would only want to run that mx... DOY! :D Because the clearance issue is usually with the rotor and swingarm skid, not with the frame skid! Zero sag shocks will lower the center of gravity and the frame, but not where the problem typically exists. The swing arm! :machoQuote:

Now you got it ;)
so, jeff- does anyone do it?
from the response i've gotten i'm probably not going to do it.
i wouldnt put one of those lowering kits on any quad...... and most definitely not on a XC or MX quad
