After over a month off from racing the Worcs series it was time to get back into action. And the track could not have been in a more peaceful place.
This is the first round that the WORCS crew has brought thier semi out. But we were all wondering were the quad was on the rig.
And as we walked around the other side, we noticed Doug Eichner, who is the only person who has ever had the WORCS title.
The weather was not that great however. It rained the few days before the race, as well during the day saturday. In fact their was even hail that came through for about 20 minutes. And then Saturday night, it rained pretty much the entire night.
This is how much pretty much all of the riders where.
But that would not stop the 14 pros that where signed up to race.
Getting out front would defintly be a great advantage in this race, and it was Robbie Mitchell who grabbed the holeshot for the pro race.
But Frederick was able to take over the first place position on the first lap.
With Doug Eichner in the second place position.
This is one of the most difficult obstacles that the pros have had to face this year. It was about a 4 foot drop off of rocks.
And there where only two lines, so when someone got stuck, other riders where having to get off of their bikes and help them out.
And Robbie Mitchell was in the third spot.
Zack Herrera lodge himself in between a rock, and a tree, and was not able to get out. After several minutes, Pro Am Rider Robert Kramar stopped to help. Unfortunetly even both of these riders could not dislodge the quad. So Robert was off and on his way. Finally David Lyndsay stopped and they where able to get Zacks quad out, unfortunetly once Lyndsay went to take off, he found himself in the same position.
