honda doesn't make 250R anymore so it doesn't matter we will only lose the banshee and blaster.

even if they did stop making new 2 stroke quads its not like you still wouldn't be able to find them. they have made and sold so many of them.

They will only be forced to quit producing them if they can't meet emissions standards. Bombarier and Mercury Marine have merged and have designed a 2-stroke outboard engine that does meet the next generation of emissions standards, it is possible that the same could be done for the quad market. It's all about the clean air, the EPA has established stricter emissions standards and all engine manufacturers are forced to meet them.

The 2-stroke ban is old news, Honda was smart enough to quit making 2-stroke quads when Califonia was starting to ban 2-strokes, and now look where Honda is :) They knew it was gonna happen, and started mastering 4-stoke power before any other ind did.

someone has designed a 2-stroke which requires no oil to be mixed with the gas, but it has a rubber diaphragm in it which will need replacing very often, I saw it in a popular mechanics I think.

this ban isnt just for quads though. its for everything thats got a 2-stroke engine. it goes for quads, bikes, sleds, weed eaters and anything else. my rc car even has a 2-stroke. that would suck.
