I have a stage 2 cam in mine and love it. I also put a 426 piston at 10.8:1 compression. It is a good combo!

Okay, possibly dumb question - does the 426 piston you're talking about require a bore job as well, or does it accomplish the extra displacement through its' overall height? Thanks.

It's definatly a bore. The sizes I think are 406,416(my reccommendation)and the 426.The 426 is the last bore on the stock sleeve.

That's cool; why do you reccomend the 416 over the rest? Who makes a good kit? Thanks again.

Right now I have a 406 and love it! But, I'm in the process of going to a TC 425! Hopefully I'll like it even more:D :D

Get a Ross Or JE piston. Get ahold of C&D racing and ask them for some prices! People say that there isn't much difference between the 426 and the 426. I don't personally know. The 426 gets warm but can be cured with and extra oil cooler.

The piston height has nothing to do with displacement (i.e 406cc vs 426cc) The displacement is based on the diameter of the piston (the bore) and how far it moves (the stroke) The height of the piston doesn't affect either of these. If you have a 70mm stroke, it doesn't matter if the piston is 20 or 80mm tall, it will still move 70mm.

The piston height will affect the compression ratio.
