Key or no key that is the question

i am about to install a 11:1 piston and either a stage 1 or 2 hotcam one of the two i can't decide and i was wonderin if a Sparks degree key would be worth installing or would the heat build up be too much. thanks for the help

Uglymotha has one in his 416, and doesn't seem to have a problem.

I've got a JE 11:1, Hot Cam 2, Sparks key and run with a DPR9Z plug. I also run a 2 to 3 ratio of race gas to 92 octane to element detonation. I love the setup it runs great and no hotter than it ever has.

wgbanks did you lose any bottom end with your setup or is it just all around better?
