HEy well I supposidly bought brand new JB a-arms off ebay im sure i mentioned earlyer about a week ago.. Well I got them in and I noticed some surface rust on the bushings.. And the balljoints look mildly used (dirty) but the a-arms dont have any use of wear on them. The shock mounts are spotless. The PC has no chipping. The stickers that say JB are perfectly fine.. I dont know is it O.K to have a little surface rust on the bushings? And am I over exaggurating on the balljoints... Well here I took pics you be the judge :)

i think the a-arms are camber/caster adj if that matters

surface rust only takes like 10 mintues or something to set in and thats probably what happened from the time that they were made.

ur most likely going to want to put the top balljoint in alot more, that is ur camber adjustment, u for MX you want to set it so ur wheels look like this
/ \ instead of \ / wich they will prob look like when u mount it, the bottom ones u want to have in all the way to prevent them from breaking. Alos your a-arms are Not caster adjustable and they come with a preset caster wich should do fine...

Good luck

perfectly fine. put em on, ride with em and have fun! a little rust should be the least of your concerns, just think when you put them on they will be hammered by trees, rocks, grass and everything else in your way! --i wouldnt worry about it, its just a little rust. i would be worried about ALOT but that is barely enough too notice. peace

My Burgards are 2 days old and have that rust from the first wash, nothing to worry about. I will probably just put a little wd on them once in a while to treat them.
There was an excellent post last week on alignment with measurements for camber angle adjustment, do a search for it under alignment. Try and keep your tie rods the same lenght when installing them and work from there, iv'e been told 1/4" total toe and about 1 to 3 degrees of camber.;)
