Just bought these--> Click Here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=43974&item=2470326106)

I hope these were a good deal. Anybody here have a set of these? I spoke to Santo and he told me that these shocks are a Works body with his own custom guts (piston, valving, etc) and a custom remote ressie better than the Works one (and it's adjustable). Seemed like a fair price. You guys tell me. Thanks so much!

Those might be Brian Cooks old shocks.

I had santo do a set up very similar to that for me. you will be extremely happy with that purchase. The shocls will have the feel of top dollar shocks!!!! Way better than any works you will ride on. The only thing the lack compared to AXIS ELKA is fit and finish of the shock it's self, but the feel of it will be right there with them. For that price they are GREAT!!!!!

jeff i think brians shocks were all custom!!!! not a works rebuild. I might be wrong though

Does he live in Spartanburg, NC? He has not emailed me on the purchase yet, but I'll let you know. Anyway, were these a good deal (provided they are as described)? Are they good shocks? Thanks!

The guy's name who I bought them from is Terry Gregg according to Paypal when I made the payment (that also could be his wifes name who setup the account, not sure with a name like Terry). Anybody know him? Not sure if he races, etc...

Just did a quick search on him and I saw some GNCC results with his name in it. A couple of B Class and Junior Class finishes in the top 10. I'm glad these didn't come frm a Pro who beat them to crap :-) Anyway, I just hope the shocks are worth the bucks. Santo said he would go thru them, replace the seals and recharge em for $145. Probably a good idea to do...

Actually, its better to buy the from pros, they have them serviced every couple races.

I was thinking more along the lines of 100 tough races on the shocks. Does not look like he raced much at all from what I can tell. Hopefully he had them serviced like it says on Ebay... Thanks Jeff and all !!
