View Full Version : yes!! an other jetting problem please help!

im running right now a 400ex with a full system lrd exhaust and a k&n air filter with pre-charger and im not running with my air box cover on but i want to put it back on because of all the water and mud at this time of year! my question is im running a 160 main should i go back to my stock 148 main jet so it would line out? because i remember try to ride last year with my air box cover on with the 160 and i was running like crap!!


please help me out man! :confused:

its about 0C to like 13C so its not so cold but not so hot

and i live in Timmins Ontario Canada and i ride like tracks and trails thats about all i know when it comes to elevation hahah i dont know if that helps but ... sorry man

I would go with a 155 if you 160 doesn't work. the 155 sould do the trick with the lid on that is what I run wen I put my lid on.

I have a 150 jet and i am shooting small flames when it backfires. i have a full wb e-series exhaust and it is around 80 degrees... should i go up or down?

your jetting is probably ok but you have to unscrew you fuel srew under the carb or put a 42 pilot jet.
