I can get a nice set of DiRisi racing front shocks for a 400ex from a buddy of mine, but i dont know if they fit and work well on my 300ex. I can gat them for $30 so is it worth it and will they work, he set them up for crosscountry for someone that weights 190 which is what i race and how much i weight. Are they gonna be too long are anything? Thanks.

No, they are way to long. You can make a bracket to make them fit but they will need to be resprung and revaled. The hot setup is to make the bracket and run some +2" 300ex aftermarket arms.

What Jeff said^^^^

I had the 400ex conversion and it didn't work very well at all. I have switched to the +2 arms with a shockmount bracket and custom Elkas built for this setup and it works sooo much better. Do yourself a favor and save up $$ to do it right.
