Guys, you gotta get one of these baby's. i have been using them for years for all kinds of application.
They are indispensable when doing any kind o f nitro remote control stuff for instance.

Pappy, would it be possible to create a chart of average temps a cylinder should be per type of quad? Where would one find this information? Can't recall seeing it in the owners or service manual.

Ive used them to measure cured parts but Ive seen them used at the dragstrip to check tire temps after the burnouts, and on engines but I dont have a clue as to what the readings should be or shouldnt be.

my wife even used mine to calibrate her oven so she wouldnt burn cookies:p

Pappy That is a good price. I have been using a digital laser thermometer for a couple years to check HVAC systems and general inspections of the home. Work well as long as it is close to what you are checking. The farther you get away from the object the the more difference in the reading.
Jump on this one folks ;)

pappy, i was under the impression i was getting a laser pointed thermometer. the one i got is a non laser unit. whats up?:(

They are infared laser thermometers. They offer a model with laser pointer if you want to exchange it. (sends out a beam of light like a laser pen) they are no more accurate as you need to be within 4 to 5 inches for accurate readings.

let me know, i didnt mean to mislead ya

nah its ok, instead of using the word "laser" you should probably change it to "noncontact" so people arent mislead....no biggie, i still feel i got a good price on this unit ;)

this is the MT2 unit (non laser), the MT4 has a laser pointer, for anyone thinking of buying one. retail on these is about 80 bucks, whereas the laser one is about 100 bucks.

I took the info straight from my catalog. they list it as a digital laser thermometer. as i stated they do offer the same model but with laser pointer attached to the description. sorry, i didnt realize by not stating "laser pointer" there would be any misunderstandings:(

you let me know if you have any problems at all. i try to be as clear and honest as i can:)
