Well i had just put a new plug into my EX and I was riding it around and I noticed it was backfiring alot but not loud and it was like real fast bursts and then it acted like it ran out of gas and I think it did couldn't really tell cause it was kinda dark...well then I put more gas in it and it wouldn't start and it hasn't started since then. I think it may be a carb problem or something? I am not sure, some help would be appreciated. I've also tried putting the old spark plug back into it and it still wouldn't start.

Its gas from two different gas stations so I don't think so...Any other suggestions?

Probably sucked up trash into the carb when you ran it out of gas.I'd say clean out the carb and start from there.

Thats maybe what I was thinking cause it was kinda chugging right before it ran out.

I had a simmilar problem. It ended up being the main jet. I changed it and it has ran fine since...

Was something wrong with the jet or was it broke or did you have to change sizes or something?

I was at the track and i took the bottom cover of a replaced it with the same jet. It is a 160 jet not stock but nothing appeared wrong with the one i took out..

Well I still cant get it started, I took apart the carb, put a new jet in there and it still won't start, and I took the carb out and when i would press the throttle it would shoot out gas so that means that the carb is working right correct?, And there is spark at the plug.

try to start it and check if the plug is wet

I took it out and it didn't look to wet but it smelt like gas, I donno whats wrong with it could the timing maybe be off?

I think that your 4 wheeler has jumped time. Put your hand on the exhaust pipe and see if it is sucking in. If it is than it has jumped time. The same thing has happend to me.

The pipe blows out whenever it turns over so does that mean the timing is right?
