400ex or Z400?

Hey guys i am thinking about getting a 400 but i am unsure of what would be a better buy a 400ex or a Z400. Please post some requests. Thanx! :)

If your buying new, z400. If your buying used, 400ex. You can get a real nicely modded 400ex for very cheap, and it will beat a near stock z400.

Bottom End - 400EX
Top End - Z400
Midrange - Same deal pretty much

Top speed - 2-3mph difference

Suspension - Z400 by a hairline

Handling - 400EX by a couple hairlines

Endurance - 400EX by miles

Personally - 400EX. Bigger carb now too. Or you can buy used

If you want used I have an 03' with warranty intact.

I think that it would be cool of you to get your frame spraypainted all different colors of the rainbow and get purple plastics!!

i would get a 400ex! Very good susp, ride good, good power although a z stock for stock will beat the 400ex by a lil bit, but unless alls you do is drag race that dont really matter!

and the z's are just ugly IMO

here in new york we got plates(and u put registration sticker on it) and then you have to have insurance too.....plus there dec and sherrif's everyone in a while....

if you dont deciede to get the ex i would get the kfx before i would get the z

i have had both and like the z alittle bit better but hey im on a ex now but it is highly modded but as far as stock the z has the nicer things on it reverse for one although the shock towers on the z a weak and tend to break if you ride hard

I really like the looks of the Z. It is faster than the 400ex by 2-3 mph on the top end. The frames were weak at one time but I'm not sure if they have fixed that or not? You could always get it gusseted.

get a 400ex i love mine and if reverse isnt an issue defently go with 400ex over the z400 the z400 is known for probelms with the frame and with a pipe and a properly jetted carb ul be able ot beat stock z400's and z400s are a few hundred extra also :devil:

If you get the Z400 be sure to get a frame and axel with it:D
