best exhaust for 400ex?

whats the best exhaust system for a 400ex?

what do you run and what do you think of it?

lrd ive heard good things about it but its a mx pipe

LRD makes a really good pipe, but besides that the BEST from my personal experience and from research are:

1. DMC Alien's DMC Dual
2. Pro-Circuit T-4

If you want the pipe that performs the best and don't care how loud it is, It's real hard to beat the TC. If money's tight I'd look at the T4 or a HMF. I've personally owned the TC and a FMF powercore4, The TC made the most power, but was obnoxiously loud. I'd also recommend the FMF, but for some reason people just don't say too much about them anymore. I'd actually consider one for my 450r, but the powercore now has this matte finished can which I don't like.(mine I got in'99 was a bright finish which looked great).

FMF makes the best 2-Stroke bike bikes, but when it comes to 4-strokes and quads for some reason they just .. well to put it brash but true, suck

they look shweet, sound shweet, but flat out suck.

i got wb eseries, it sounds really pimp:) when its idling, but when u start giving that thing some gas out on the track, and start hittin the end of your gears, it loses its pimpness:( ,but i could feel a big power gain when i got mine, and that was like that 1st thing i ever did to my quad

Yeah Whitey's makin' the best 400EX pipe right up there with DMC.

I think DMC is just the underdog though. They need to get discovered. They'll put down 7-8 more hp than stock, 3lbs lighter i think too.

7-8HP out of a slip on? Sorry, but that's pretty far fetched. Even a gain of 3 or 4 HP is a lot out of a full system..

I have the TC pipe, and yes it is very loud. Sounds good, but way to loud. I haven't got to try it with my 416 yet, but it's suppose to get louder and add more power with the more motor mods you do. I actually would like to get the HMF Ballance series.

Yo pro circuit is the way to go. The new T-4 they just came out with is the greatest pipe lots of power and not to loud. :)

im with chin_chilla i have a sparks X-4 for my 250ex GREAT PIPE best sound quaility you will hear and great power gains so if i were you i would get a sparks X-6 and it will be great but even better with a modded motor! hope this helps

400ex pipe shoot out the white bros E series slip on won for almost making the mopst hp and being only 96dbs.

Ctracing would have won the shoot out for having the most hp but it was 101 dbs.

Tc racing showd 25 hp on the dyno on a 400ex. Eather tc racing shorty only helps bottomend and does nothing with top end or tc on a stock 400ex sucks?

Personaly i would go with sparks or tc. Nmotion looks good too.

white bros is the worst sounding exhaust i have ever heard in my life and no wb is not the top rated exhaust and if anybody would like to know. I will be putting a sound clip of my 400ex with a pro circuit full exhaust soon and a sound clip of my friendswb exhaust

p.s white bros is a good exhaust if u want to have a loud bike and thats it. pro circuit is good for power and sound, its loud and it has a great sound
