TDC with a degree key

Was just wondering if theres a good way to get an accurate Top Dead Center (TDC), when you have a degree ket installed.

I was just going to remove the spark plug and stick a screw driver down there or soemthing.

(This is for adjusting my valves.)

Assuming you have the usual 6 degree key, the TDC mark will be advanced about .290". So just rotate the timing mark about that far (CCW) past the alignment groove in the case. Actually if you just line up the mark with the left edge of the hole in the case you'll be more than close enough.

Alright I'll check that out. I'm first gonna stick the screwdriver down there, get TDC that way.. then I'll compare it to the flywheel marks for nexttime i guess....

I should look for a skinny ruler that would fit down there that would be awesome.
