twist throttle D.I.Y.

if there is enough interest i will post w/pics how to put togeather a twist throttle. i did it w/parts in stock at any dealer right now and a little modification. cost bout 40 bucks. works great.

Cannondale twist and cable bolts right on, run the cable between the tank and stem bushing stay as opposed to under the stay up the front. Excellent piece, put mine on yesterday.

motion pro vortex throttle for a late model cr. trim your cable housing back about 4 1/2 inches. be careful to not damage the cable. reroute your cable above the stem mount to give more than enough slack. you need an adjusting nut from any motorcycle perch that will thread into the throttle housing. run into any problems drop a line. i'm trying to get the pics on my web site.

my parts suppliers are pretty weak. so i called motion pro over in calli. the rep could only give me the # of a yamaha dealer & said he'd be VERY helpful. when i called him he said NO honda. screw him, i'll build my own. round her, if u don't ride a 2-wheeler, you're on your oxn. just trying to help. how much $ is the kit?

also: does your throttle roll on super fast? the vortex throttle kit i used is designed w/short throw. little twist=big throttle. it takes some touch. good for racing mx and drag, bad for trails. sorry no mention.

The Vortex is quik, the cannondale has a farther twist, i like it best. As for alot of views, some people see an interest, read the posts get there answers so there's no need in replying i guess. If I remeber i'll look at the part # tomorrow or call Jeff at TheQuadShop, he has 1 vortex kit in stock 502-243-0193 there is a toll free # but i dont know it.:confused:
