With a Sparks pipe, open airbox lid, what jetting should i be running? Right now I have 180 main, stock pilot (the dealer gave me the wrong size 50 so i left stock, and air/fuel screw 3 turns out. What its doing is popping a little on de-acceleration... What should I do to fix this untill I get the HRC kit?

Install a 190 jet instead of the 180.

What clip would the needle be on with the stock settings?

It's your pilot jet causing your popping on deceleration. Go to a bigger one.

I got a 50 pilot but the dealer gave me the wrong kind and it didnt fit. So I guess Monday ill have to get my dad to bring that one back and get a new one. Now ill have to tear it all back apart when I would have had it jetted perfect the first time...:grr:

I cant wait untill I get my HRC kit installed...:o

I have a full Sparks exhaust with Sparks Filter, no air box lid. All we did was put in a 190 main jet and turned the air/fuel mix screw out 2 turns. RUNS GREAT! These are the jetting specs Sparks told us to do when we called 'em.

Sparks has their own jet kit for that exact setup. It is their own needle in the 3rd clip position, and 190 main jet. I would try their jet kit out, it worked good for me.

With the Sparks filter, were you able to use the stock metal thing that would normaly go in there?

Are you talking about the little metal bracket that went on the backside of the filter? If so, No....i didnt re-use that part. I just put the re-enforcement ring in the airbox with the filter.

So the metal cage is gone too?

The metal cage inside the filter? I didnt put it back in, I was kinda wondering about that. On a foam filter, are we suppose to re-use it again??? I've always had a K&N Fitler so I never really knew. HAHA! I'm gonna feel like a dumbass if you are..... but oh well.

Yea, you clean and re-oil the foam filters. But I had never taken out the cage in any of my other filters. Seems to be working fine though...
