were in sanford you going to ride they truned the big sand pit into a swamp so taht took alot there are still some trails but at this time of the year it will be cut back quite a bit due to the river cuting some of them off with how high it will be. Id go but i dont have a ride maybe later in the spring (late april) if you go ill join

u know the other pit where people park thats where we go then we go down the powerlines into the hills and then we found a bigger pit, PM me wen u can go and we will meet u up ther some time

maybe the last week in april i dont have my lisence so i cant go right now. Get it back mid april. i have the last week in april off if you want to plan a ride one of those days.

i can go up now anyweekend except next my bro is taking off to northern maine and i dont got a car so i cant go but when i do the weekend after that ill put up a thread and who ever wants to go we'll meet up there, but yeah rite now its so nice up there except for a couple of trails and thers quite a bit of mud, but hey it makes it fun

but yeah its in sanford maine and if u know where teh airport is you can find it, or just go to the gassatation rite near there and they will tell you how to get to the pit, its one of theose roads, im gunna put up directions soon for those who want to go

i would say its 2 to 2 1/2 hours from bangor. Why dont we plan a ride for the 24 or 25 of april or the 1st or 2nd or march? Give everyone enough time to get rides straightened out ect i would be in for 2 people.

I dont think the trails are truck worthy. If i remember they were a lil tight for a truck. But you might be able to fit one if yu ont mind scraping the sides up on branches ect.

yeah they weould be hard to get out there, but you can take em in the pit

and the pit is nice they got rid of the ramp though, it was broken anyways so im buildin a new one it should be done in 2 weeks and its 7 ft tall so its a nice sized one, im gunna leave it up there, oh yea its pretty wide to, like 80" or sumtin like that

thats what i built the truck to do but i was just wondering if there was any good mud pits for my truck but let me know when u get a ride going and ill get a few of my buddies to go up

i live in sanford
and the pit is a no go
they tore it down and smoothed it out and are starting to flood it
the trails are still there but you cant go through new dam pit
or cross cyro river anymore
at the end of last summer game wardens were parked there slapping people with $1000 tickets for water pollution if u tried to cross
i say BS man
everyone is building on trail here and blocking them off
the road is still open and the cops are always up for a good chase..
if you are looking for a good pit go to dayton sands.
they have some crazy hill climbs
its an active pit so its always changing
the owner opens it to atv and dirtbikes on weekends
there is usally a ton of people there
like new dam used too be :(
other than that the gullys are good not a far ride from new dam
nice sandy hill to climb
but dont cross the powerlines at the end big fines there too cause a natural gas pipelines going through there

i live in NH i would so wanna go with you all but i have no quad.. i might get a quad b4 may to see if this guy wants to trade i hope so :( ill get back at ya'll if i get a quad ..

bout 5 of us are go'n to the dayton sand pits on sunday. when u guys said they flattened out the sand pits i thought u meant the dayton ones!!! :eek2:
