I was recently at a large motorcylce dealership out here in so cal and they had about 15 450r's on the floor. I was talking to the salesman about them and he was telling me that that was all they were going to have for the summer. Anyway, the tag on the bike was $7499.99 i said something to him about the price and he said that they were going for a little over $8000 OTD. Am i crazy or is this place just rediculous? Can anybody give me some info on a cheaper OTD price in So cal?

I have been looking for a decent buy around here also! If you hear of anything let me know. Right now I'm looking to go out of State to buy:eek2: Maine is a little too far for me! Throw in free shipping and I'll take 3!!

I bought mine in up here in No Cal at Chico Honda and I paid $7100 OTD. I thought it was a good deal for California.

? I am new to Cali! I had a dealer tell me that I would need a green sticker to ride here and that if I bought one out of state that I would be unable to get this sticker for my bike. Does anyone know if this is true? A new 450r here is way to expensive. But if I can't get the sticker I'll have to buy it here, which will suck. Any ideas besides moving somewhere else?

you could still get the green sticker, just have to register the bike at the dmv, they may charge you sales tax though? im not 100% sure on the sales tax though. (dont seem right since it was an out of state sale.. but anyways.. i think if the bike is legally registered in another state that registration passes for the green sticker here too.. if you are still a resident of the other state...

I was quoted $7100.00 here in Salt Lake City, Utah. I bet that's without all their stupid fees though...

Yes I am still legally a resident of Oregon and I was thinking of doing what you said before I get all changed over to here. But what happens in a couple of years when I am a resident and my registration needs renewing and I have to do it here. Is the bike still going to be able to keep the sticker?

should prolly just register it here, i think its just 20-30ish bucks as long as they dont get ya for the sales tax...

your gonna have to pay sales tax no matter what if you register it. so go for the best deal on the bike you can get.

So I will be able to still get the green sticker even if its an out of state bike? The registration and tax is not my main problem. I want to be able to ride it here everywhere anytime of the year. The last thing I want is that stupid red sticker because it's not a california bike. Anyone know about this. By the way I very much appreciate those last comments. Thanks:cool:
