Hey, I was wondering, can I take the airbox lid off of my 300EX to get a little boost, and not have to rejet? Would it just run a little rich, and still be safe on the engine? Or would it not make that much of a difference?
Thanks

No. If you take the lid off it will run lean. You will have to rejet.

If you have the stock filter and remove your lid, you don't have to rejet, but you won't get the full power gain as if you were to rejet

The engine is completely stock, air filter, exhaust, everything.

You can take it off, with probably no problems.
After riding for sometime, half a day whatever.. pull you spark plug out and make sure its not white.
If its white you lean and should rejet. if its borwn or dark your all good.
