Silver lake opening weekend?

We were there...it was a great ride. There were tons of riders there. It was my first time going but two of my buddies go all the time. They said it was the most people they've ever seen there. I posted some pics under the dune section. Were you there?

We got there at 9:00am and had to wait about an hour to get in the gate. Not too bad though. I would assume you saw the after effects of that bike accident. That just sucks:(

You'll have to post the next time you're going up, me and my two buddies plan on going mid-week pretty soon. We all work the off-shifts.

Did you see a blue 84 chevy shortbox w/paddles or a white 92 Chevy longbox w/paddles and a design on the side? The 84 was my brother and the 92 was his friend.

I wasn't there on Sunday, and honestly, there were so many trucks I can't remember. We should all hook-up and go during the week. My buddy Doozer and his brother are always ready to go. Doozer likes to go big, fun to ride with. Later!

the accident at silver lake was fatal one. 15 trucks drag racing one direction and a bunch of motorcycles racing the other way and the inside lead cyclest was looking over his shoulder and hit the inside truck. the guy driving the truck is an emotional basket case his passangers brother videoed all of it the cops took the truck and camera. I went on friday and there was very few people there. I always go on sundays just because there are so many trucks. did you know that the parks capacity is about 2000 I hope I am never there when that many are on the dunes it is only 1.5 miles wide and 3 miles long.:(

IM going back on JUNE 2nd 3rd and 4th this year. I was there 4 times in the last 3 years. its pretty sweet there about 7 hours away but after all the driving it worth it. i have a new pipe this year with a spark arester but it dont say US aproved on it think it will matter? hope i dont need to put the quite core in runs ****ty. its the HMF FULL SYSTEM if u are wondering. thanks

They weren't looking for the U.S.F.S. stamp, but they were running about a 1/4 inch steel rod up the end caps. Hope to see you up there in June.

Me, Doozer, and Pauly-dawg are going up Thurs Apr 15th in the morning. We're always up for riding anywhere, trails, tracks, or dunes. We all work off-shifts so we like to go during the week. Let me know.

I was there on sat. The one guy from work came up with us and he was the first from the dunes to go to the hospital. He didn't see the drop off on the south side of the dunes. Did a face plant into the bars. He got 50 sticthes. There was another guy that jumped off th south side of the dunes and laned on a pickup. He broke his back. My buddy (EMT) was helping with him. And then I seen the DOA , BUt did see want happed. Other then this stuff I had a great time up there, It was my first dune trip.

Hey guys, I am going to try to get to the dunes this summer in june sometime, i need to go get some paddle tires for my 400ex then i will try to get over there, I hope when i go nothing like that happens and i hope there is not alot of people, I hate riding with alot of people because some people just don't care and they will do what ever they feel and someone will get hurt. But that is some crazy stuff that went down there over the year, well im gonna try to get there in june sometime so i hope it is worth goin.
