just got my new dennis kirk and holeshot has the new xc tires in a 16 incher for 8inch wheels. i was wondering if anyone has tried running a 16 in tire and how they compare to a 18 incher....theyre only like 27 bucks too, i might have to give them a try:D

you would probably drag a5s on your skidplate

Ain't nothin wrong w/ runnin 16's I've been running them on mine for the last few race/practice runs they work great on a big track not too good on the short track though!!

I wouldn't think you would want that short of a tire. As the diameter of the tires decreases so does your contact patch to the ground. Which would actually give you less traction, so unless you are doing it just for the lower center of gravity that you will be getting from the smaller tire or the chance that the sidewall of the tire won't flex as much, I would probably stay with the 18's. Thats why you see topfuel drag cars with a extremely tall/wide tire because they need all the traction they can get The 18's are proven to work, but it also dosen't hurt to try something different. Just my .02. ;)

pretty good point i guess snell....didnt think about traction, but ground clearance would probably be a problem anyway,..just thought it would be cool:D
