I thinking about going with a slightly longer (than stock) swingarm on my 450R. I don't currently race, but I went out to the track here in Tulsa, Ok this week and think I will go out there for practice next Tuesday to see how I like it. It looked like a heck of a lot of fun. Just thought this may be relevant information concerning my question.
Anyways, my reason for considering a longer swingarm is that I would like to get a better hookup when drag racing in the sand. I have the 13T sprocket and haulers so I get a very good hookup, I'm just having a hard time keeping the front end down.
I also like to jump, not extremely high, but I could see myself getting 5-10 ft of air later this summer. I was told that having a longer swingarm would negatively impact the jumping. ????
I would really appreciate some advice on the pros and cons of lengthening the swingarm. Also, who would you go with and how much should you lengthen the swingarm +1 +2 etc....
Thanks In Advance...........:D
