Ok...guy i work with just put in his 440 big bore, edelbrock quicksilver carb.. He has the stock cam, K&N, no lid on the air box. He said that it runs fine until you get to about 3/4 throttle....after that (WOT) it feels like it is running rich. He said it is falling on its face. He said he is using the 19 E jet and the idle is set at 17 clicks up from the bottom. I have no clue what i just said but that is what he told me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

NOS,

Part of the reason may be that he is running stock cams on that big bore motor. Before putting a cam in, I would at least do a WOT plug check (go thru a couple gear at wide open throttle and then shut it off right away and pull the plug and look for an almond color. White = lean and black = rich.

Now my question for you is why is your Clarke gas tank dead? I was just about to buy one of these. Do they have issues? Are they known to leak? Thanks!
