right now i hve a hot cams stage 1 camshaft in my motor. If i would put a high compression piston in, would i notice a big difference or not? ive been debating whether to do it or not. I dunno if it will b worth it. Let me know!

yes, you should see a big difference.

The high compression piston will compliment the cam very well.

Some people will say that the high compression piston when paired with a stage one cam, will choke up the engine at high RPM's. A stage two may be more suited for your needs. It all depends on what type of riding you do. Tight trails--typically you would use a stage one and MX or dunes you would use a stage two. It's your decision to make, just read as much as you can about the subject before you purchase anything. And YES you should get a high compression piston...you will see gains.

i am not goin to change the cam. I have the stage 1 and i am keeping it in. I mostly ride trails and ocassionally on Mx tracks. What piston would be the best to go with? and also what compression ratio.

Take a look at the JE and Ross 10.8:1 believe. I hear much good about both.

Actually I'm not the best to answer that question. Not sure what bore you are talking. You have the option of going with a high compression piston in the stock bore, or going with a 406, 416, 426, 440 and probably even higher. Somebody else will be better suited to answer this question. Sorry for any confusion. But I do know that the JE and Ross consistantaly get good reviews.

thanx. I am going to keep the stock bore. what is the stock bore? 10:1? any other advice on reccomended bore sizes or anything will be greatly appreciated!

10:1 isnt a bore its a compression ratio :D

pretty sure the stock compression ratio is 9.1:1

Stock compression: 9.1:1
Stock bore: 3.346"
