Steering Stabilizer 300ex

I just got a denton rebuildable 7 way adj out of the for sale section and I'm curious how to mount it. I did a search and found a lot of great pictures for a 400ex but no 300. My main concern is the steering stem, the hole for the clamp is bigger than the steering stem itself. Also I read that you need to mount the body perpendicular to the clamp to get the full efectiveness. How stiff should I run it? I'm a hard trail rider and Harescramble C racer.

hmm, i got your pm, i thought you meant mounting to the frame was the tough part. i didnt have any probs mounting to the stem.

i geuss you could just shave down the edges a litle bit
