What is a Hare scramble????????????

Just saw a race advertized in my area they called it a hare scramble may be a stupid ? but what kind of race is it?? :confused:

i have never been to one and they dont have any in my area........but i think they are a form of cross country racing......but i could be way off base here..........:confused:

Yeah its a cross country race. I have never done one but I have a couple of friends that race them.

Thanks guys I just found thr race web site its like a 40 Km race about three hours Id have to stop for fuel atleast 3 times my bike just sucks it up. I did a 12 km xc last week and I was on reserve the last 5 min.

oh yeah duh now I remember. Its just a timed race. Kinda like the gncc but only you go by time. Last year i had a friend race one with his dad where it was set up so you hada a partner and switched riders half way through the race. I thought that would be pretty cool.

Harescramble is done by time. XC is done by laps.
