A rule I always tell people is for every $100 dollar motor mod, you get 1 Hp.

There aint much science in that rule, but its pretty close to correct.

I personally think the stock head flows fairly decent. Probably give ya another 2-3 hp with porting.

Theres other things to do before porting. Atleast a cam, ... then Higher comp piston.. and then possible oversized valves.

Yeah, but i need a longer swinger before i do the cam and piston because i dont want to flip over giving ti full throttle. my buddy has to sit on the gas can when taking off and then slowly moves to back of seat which slows him down.

Naw you don't need no stinkin swinger.:)

Keep the front end down by how you work the clutch. Alot more traction control.

So what you are saying, if i buy an stg 2 cam, 87mm je piston, with bore and intall my self. with total of 300-350 bucks, i will only get 3-3.5hp out of that?

i knew he wouldnt get away with saying that, someone always looks into it too much. sure there are a few cheaper alternatives and infinite combinations of mods, but he is saying generally it will cost you a decent amount/HP. after a pipe, cam, and bore kit, what can you do thats cheap? after those, you will be looking into more expensive options for HP which will quickly add up.

Getting port work, a cam and maybe a different piston will make a huge difference and once you add a FCR39mm you will be HAPPY! Trust me.:D It cost $ to be fast!
