250r jetting ?

I just put on a 38 airstyker carb and was wondering what main i should be running. motor mods include: bored .80 over, cr head gaskets, reed spacer, rad valve, k&n filter, lrd exhuast.

i havent had a time to ride it yet because im still waiting on my carrier...


any ideas?

Start with a 175 main, you may have to drop back one or two sizes but it should be in the ball park. I run a 48 pilot with the needle clip in the 3rd or 4th groove depending on air temps

I would lose the reed spacer, they decrease hp by lowering the primary compression (crankcase). By adding volume to the crankcase you lower the pressure reducing transfer velocity so your cylinder won't fill as well. Less charge = less power.....
