+2 250r a-arms on a 300 ex need more input help!!!!!

I HAVE +2 250R A-ARMS ON MY 300 EX ,IT'S GOT A RAISED TOP SHOCK MOUNT(WELDED ON BY MACHINE SHOP ) FOR LONGER SHOCKS.MY QUESTION IS CAN I HELP FIX THE GEOMETRY(TOE IN TOE OUT ) BY PUTING 250R SPINDLES , ROTORS ,BRAKES ,HUBS ON IT ...PLEASE HELP ANYONE......THANKS......JASON...............:confu sed: (( I'M SURE EVERY ONE KNOWS WHAT I MEAN ABOUT TOE IN TOE OUT ))

I had 400ex spindles with 250r a arms on mine and it did correct some of the problems but it never was quite right. It made the steering easier but the turning radius was terrible. The only way I have found to get the 300 to handle well is to do it right.

The 250r/400ex front end conversion for the 300ex just doesn't work well at all.

dont be discouraged tho, you did not ruin your frame since the 400ex /250r a-arms dont work, buy you some 300ex a-arms (stock or aftermarket both work, plus 2 sems to work great) now you can use a 16 inch shock with your relocated shock mount. just have the shocks re-valved for this setup! wich means you will need aftermarket 400ex shocks and send them to the quadshop for a re-valve

It wouldn't work. The tie rod location would be way off and so would the caster/camber.

I'd go with the setup Bradley300 is talking about. That is what I am doing. I am using +2+1 Burgards made for the 300ex with 400ex length shocks valved for the setup and the shockmount. I haven't tried it out much yet because I'm waiting on my rear shock but it feels like it's going to be much better than it was with the 250r front end.

How about buying some 300ex parts to put on your 300ex....:eek:
