Just wondering, what all is involved in rebuilding a 250R rear brake caliper? Also, where can I get all the parts that I need to do this rebuild? Thanks.

Its pretty simple, you can get the parts from anyone that carries Honda parts.

yea, if you have a parts guide from honda, it would make it really easy or yamahaoftroy.com has a fische finder where you can look at parts like that and find out what you need and what goes where, basically a parts guide,,..just free instead of $40 from honda. clymers manuals are also good. simple task though. lata

sorry for the dumb question but, how do you know when you need to rebuild one?

biggest reason to rebuild would be loosing pressure. rebuilding the caliper after a few years will make an improvement, sometimes just by replacing the shaft seal (about 95 cents) if your brakes are really spongy though, you should consider a rebuild and stainless brake lines while your at it

have you tightened the bleeder valve? you may need a new one. you will definately need to bleed the brakes also.
