ok calm down i don't have one, but i was examining the engine cases and if you look in from the laft side just under the seat by the choke you can see a spot that looks like a starter would plug right in. the only thing that i see in the way is the rear shock resivoir. if that could be moved and someone can figure out how to make it all work let us all know. besides isn't the dirt bike electric start?

The CRF is not electric start. Maybe Honda will offer it as an option for 2005.

Hopefully they won't make every 450R with an electric start as standard equipment. I like the simplicity of a kick starter much better.

I have seen way too many electric start only quads fail to start when commanded to do so by their owners.

i'm not saying i prefer electric start but it would be nice at times. i think that if i had one i would only use it in certain circumstances.

i hope honda leaves the 450R kick start but i know alot of people would like to have the option or maybe an after-market kit

I doubt they will ever offer e start on the R. Look at what they have done or offered in the past with other models.

Yes they are very similar to the R. We have had a few come through the shop already begin sold. The Rs don't come with electric start and I can almost gurantee they never will. Especially on the dirt bikes.

Not a problem, you want electic start. Attach 2 nine volt batteries to your testicles with a start button.

Will start every time.

I hope they never make an electric start R!

Maybe they should make a detuned 450r with gun racks and heated grips/seat, estart and a roll bar.. .
