Hey I ordered my HMF full system for my 400ex today, i ordered it customed to be cut down to a shorty from hmf. is that gonna add more power or lose power ? where is it gonna add the hp or lose it ? how many bike lenghts now should i beat a stock 400ex by. I also order 16 front sprocket, rev box, degree key, filter and dyno jets...how fast should i be, how much hp should i be running, and will i hang with raptors, ds650's, and dales ? piped Z400's ...? whats up. how much will this improve over my bone stock 400ex.

Jesus that's a lot of questions. Cutting it down makes it loud as hell and you will have lots of low end power. As for beating bikes with all that stuff you should probably smoke stock 400s and stock Zs as for preds, I've never seen one drag race something else so I don't know. Heh just my 2 cents

no silly, you go from stock you gain all around and since it's cut especially low power.

the 16 tooth sprocket will make your bike get a lot more top end and probably lose some bottom end. correct me if im wrong somebody but im pretty sure thats what its gonna do.

in reality the 16 is suppose to give more top speed. however, you won't notice too much. maybe 1mph. you won't be able to touch a raptor, dale, ds, yfz, ect up top in my opinion. the rev box won't do much of anything on a stock bike. the filter won't give a noticable gain either in my opinion. the shorter pipes are suppose to gain a little low end power. however, you will be putting out some noise with that pipe. i have raced z's and kfx's and some were quick and others weren't. my bike when it was stock was quicker than one z. i raced another stock kfx and it beat me easily.

I would stay with a 15 tooth .16tooth ok with18 inch tires way tall with 20's. A 15 tooth will give you way more hole-shot and still top out near 70 mph.
