looks like that engine would go good in a kfx frame (if you could keep it from breaking lol)

looks like it might even be made by kawi:eek2:

Just what i was thinking. I figured if they would make two identacial quads i dont think they would be afraid to make two identacial dirtbikes.

Sounds sweet. I hope the engine isn't made by Kawi, I've never liked their engines or trusted them very much...back in the day they had some problems, but I don't know much about how they do now.

If I liked dirtbikes I'd think about buying one:p

No. The KX250F and RM-Z250 are exactly the same, except for the plastics. The RM-Z450 and KX450F are not the same bike - the RM-Z will (most likely, according to spy photos) have an aluminum frame similar to the CRFs, and as you can see in that picsture the KX does not.

id have to disagree about kawi motors being unreliable...our kawasaki mule is ridin balls to the wall non stop....even thought thats only 20mph tops and it has over 600 hours with no problems:D its also got about a WHOLE 8 HP!!!!gives go-carts a run for their money:D

Guys, that frame on that Kawi bike is Aluminum:p I think all of the Big 4 will have Alum. frames within 5 years at the latest.

Thats true. What I meant was that Kawi doesnt have the twin perimeter aluminum frame like the CRF and the new RM-Z450 (according to spy photos). I know Yamaha has been working on an aluminum framed YZ, which appears to keep the same frame design and geometry as the current steel frame YZs, just made out of aluminum.

I'm sorry but you are wrong, the motors are different.

the kawie motor started development with both kawie and suzuki but kawie broke off development and did it themsleves.

why do I know this? because i went to a kawie update seminar for my old job and the only thing suzuki helped with is crankshaft placment:macho

I dont know if suzuki bought kawies 250f, but i dont think its the same. I doubt the 450 is joint developed either, could be though.

The 250F is the exact same bike (the KX and RM-Z). I'm pretty sure they did the same thing as they did with the KFX/Z400, with Kawasaki heading the chassis (you can see how the twin perimeter frame reflects the modern KX 2 strokes, this one is just round tube) with Suzuki taking care of the engine.
