I just got some hipers and new tires and was wondering how tough it is to put them together and get the tires to seat on the beads? The rears are dual beadlocks so I'm assuming that won't be bad but the fronts are single beadlocks so do I have to get them to seat on one side, then put the beadlock side on and pump 'er up? I've never put tires on rims before so that's why i'm asking.

What I did was pust the tire as close to the inside bead as far as I could, put the ring on then air it up. The air will seat the bead.

So really the only ones I have to worry about seating are the fronts? The rears will seat easy with the dual beadlocks right? Thanks for the replies.

when you put the rear together with the tires they will be sealed and the fronts should pump up with out too much trouble ill find out tomorrow how good the hipers are mine will be in tooo

spray wd-40 on the bead and it will pop on easier.

Use a drill and socket or a air rachet to start the bolts. Don't torque it with that, but just use it to get the bolts almost tight.

im curious as to what socket it takes for those bolts?

Also, try not to twist the wheel into the tire, the Hipers could have a burr and cut your bead on the tire.

You have to use a 12 pt socket. I believe like a 10mm

Yup, and trus them. You want to use a power tool for this. YOur arm will go numb putting all the bolts in by hand. :eek2:

yes...putting 6 rings on gets very boring and frustrating(2 on each rear and 1 on each front)

I actually had to put 12 rings on..bought a set for each of my quads:mad:

It takes a 3/8 12 point socket.

Thanks for the replies. I better make sure the cordless drill is charged up. I did notice all the bolts holding things together.

don't over tourque(sp) them..they will crack

Start all the bolts BY HAND!!! then go around the entire rim like 2-3 times before you tighten the rings down untill they touch the inner part of the rim. works perfect.

A whole bunch of good advice in this thread:)

Another thing, trim any excess rubber from the bead.
