I have a set of long travel Custom Axis on my 400ex. I would like to put them on my Trx450r. I matched them up and it looks like they will bolt up if I had the long travel a-arms for the 450. Has anybody had any experience with this. If so what, if any, problems will I have. Also does anyone know of any body making long travel a-arms for the 450 yet?

Depends what kind of LT arms your running now and what kind of arms you plan to run on your 450R. All long travels are NOT the same. Consiquently, the leverage ratios are no the same. Even if the length/stroke is the same, you may need to alter the valving/springs. Rear shock uses the same hardware top and bottom. However the hose orientation is different and the the overall shock length on the 450R is "shorter" than the EX. Go figure! You may be able to just put a shorter body on it, new spring, and fix the hose location. I'd call Axis for the lowdown. I'm sure they have been getting hit with the same question.
