I have a 300ex, bent a rim, and replaced it with an OEM rim 4 a 400ex. Remember parts for a 400 are cheaper than for a 300!!! I questioned why (because they are EXACTLY the same) and the reason is that the 400ex parts are made in USA and the 300ex are from Japan!!

I'm not positive but I think the offset is slightly different. Can someone clarify this please:)

As far as the offset I am not exactly sure but does it really matter when the japan costs $250 for a front rim and the USA costs $115!!!! For less than the ONE Japanese you can buy TWO from the good old US of A !!!!! With matching offsets wheather that be
3+2 or viceversa.
