MY 3 WHEELER SMOKES alot???

ya i have a 85 200x 3 wheeler and it smokes alot i'd say is that a good or bad thing what should i do ???????

I'd say its your rings going out, and no thats not good. You will need a new piston and rings, and that should do it.

Is it 2 stroke? 2 strokes smoke alot, especially when you add a lil extra oil in your gas..

is it blue or black smoke?

well, does it smoke when warm, or only when you first start it up?

it's cold up there in canuckistan, so that might be the problem :p

if it's smoking like a mofo even when warm.....it's most likely the rings. i think it could have something to do with the valves too (????) but it's most likely the rings.

It could be just your rings but judgeing by how old the bike is it just might need new valve guide seals and possbily new valve guids and valves. You'd just need to take it apart and measure the clearance.

Once you have the engine warm, take off the oil plug (where you fill your oil) See if any smoke is shooting out of there or alot of pressure is shooting out. This is a condition called blow by. Its where the comusted gases blow right by the piston rings and down into the crank case. If it isnt then I would still replace the rings being how old the bike is and maybe if the bore is scratched go .20 over on the bore. Hope this helps!

i have a problem my 200x axle is like loss or somethin its the part where the axle connects with the swingarm how do i tighten it up??????
