View Full Version : Exhaust for my 472..?
I was just wondering what exhaust you guys think I should switch too....I like Yoshi, or LRD Big Bore, But do you think the Sparks X-6 or CT Racings pipe would be better?
id go wit ct or lrd, they r full on race pipes, sound sweet. id go wit the pipe of whoever did ur engine work.

The yoshi full will be alot more restrictive than the other pipes. I say go with the LRD big bore or the sparks X-6.

a 472 would prolly need a total custom pipe.

I would go with the Sparks X-6 or the LRD Big Bore.
I will either get the LRD Big Bore chromed or the sparks chromed...no matter what I do im going to chrome it...:D

In the ATV Sport Pipe Shootout the LRD Chrome Pipe turned Blue. The Sparks Pipe also added more Power. I would go with the Sparks.
the lrd should be cheaper i think. but they are both good pipes..the sparks and lrd i mean
I think the LRD Chrome pipe is the same price as the ceramic sparks pipe...or cheaper. I like the blue look actually..:D
yeah but looks arent what you shold be looking for..if a peice of poop would give my quad 5 hp it would be on it

You really can`t go Wrong with the Sparks or LRD Pipe. Both will be Really Loud.

The LRD should be a couple of bucks cheaper but I've heard the Sparks pipe is extremely LOUD!!! The LRD is loud too but from what I've heard around here that the Sparks is really loud and alot of people in the guy's area (where he lives) have been complaining and one time called the cops!!! (which is unheard of around here) So, even though I have a LRD pipe also I would get the LRD! You won't be disappointed!!! The CT is something to also to take a look at!!! The Yoshi is something I never really got interested in for some reason but going by tests in mags and ect, it never really caught me eye. So, you got yourself a 472???? That mother f****r has to be a frigin beast!!! Good luck

Jese i need a sparks pipe, i got the cops called on me 3 times because of my wb pipe was to loud , which signs out at 98-99 db(damn neighbours thinks it rattles their windows when they are half a mile away) any who hott440ex i would go with the lrd they are a good pipe.

I have heard a Sparks, TC, LRD, and a Duncan Pipe run. They are all Loud. All of the Engine Builders Pipes are Loud. I would say the TC and Sparks are really Close. The LRD was not as Loud, but when you Mod your Motor they just get Louder. Duncan was very Loud too. My TC is a little Crazy, but I don`t think it`s Bad. The Sparks will Cost More and be Louder then the LRD. I don`t think you will go wrong with either Pipe.

It's probably worth your time to find out the ID's of the pipes. For instance, the Sparks and the Hetricks have just over a 1.1 ID on the header, while the WBros is 1.3. I don't remember the header outlet on the Sparks or Hetricks, but it's smaller than the 1.7 ID of the WBros. On a motor making the kind of power yours is, I'd suspect that bigger is better...
