I read in one of the ATV rags that it couldn't be stroked because there wasn't enough room. Don't know if it's true or not.
So, can it be stroked, say, 4 mm?

Did they stroke it to that size or just bore it?

Don't quote me on this but I think that Mickey Dunlap is working on this right now.

Powroll has a 1.4mm stroker kit to bump it up to a real 450cc's.

Yes, you can stroke this engine.
3mm - stock rod, custom piston
4mm - other rod, custom piston - good solid setup.
5mm - other rod, custom piston - still possible but takes more clearance work.
6mm - other rod, custom piston - can be done but reliability comes into question.
I am sure someone has already tried to go even further.

My brother's YFZ has a 6.5mm stroke!! been done since last year!
My Dad won't reveal bore, but will never do one again for XC- holding on causes serious arm pump! Around 500cc
yo sturdenvant guys don't beleive in riding a quad under 500ccs do you? first you alls ex and now the yfz

Anyone got the 470 kit from FST yet. Any reliability issues with it? What kinda power increase are we talking?
TRZ?YFZ?

My friend has a 470 in his YFZ and lets just say if you ride it then a stock yfz, say with just a pipe, the difference is like going from a stock ex to a stock yfz!

How much would it cost to get the YFZ stroked to a true 450?

Go to powroll.com . You can get a after market rod or use the stocker. But that doesnt include labor or gaskets and whatever else you need.

You going to dyno it after it gets back? What will it be after the stroker, a 550?
