I was wondering how many discs i should run because i haven't rejetted the carb or any mods like that yet. Now i have on all 12 but I'm not sure how many would be the best for my stock 400.
thanks

I have a stock 400 and I am running 12 but I had to rejet. Check back a couple pages there was some good information on this same subject. Somebody ran 8 and actually said they had better performance.

Mine had the best overall power with a 165 main, no airbox lid, needle moved up one notch, a 42 pilot and 18 discs.

Consider that Raptoraz also has a aftermarket header and filter is presume. You may not want to jet that high.

When I still had the stock engine I used 13 discs and the stock head pipe. I had a 155 main with no lid. I had to go to a 45 piolet to get the carb to clean out from idle. The air screw was about 3 1/2 turns out. It ran very good with that set up.

Actually, the jetting combo I listed was what I was using before the cam and Powerbomb. I did have the White Bros. filter and rev box at that time, however.

Well first of all i can't run it with no airbox lid. And i don't want to. Way toooo much mud. And is it easy to rejet the carb myself?
