Port and polish a 400ex?

Is it worth the extra $$$$ to have a port job done on a 400ex or just do a 426 11.1 with a hotcam stage 2. I am getting pretty close to doing my motor and debating on what to do.

If the person doing the porting knows what they are doing and ports it on a Flowbench you will pick up alot of HP. The heads are the bottleneck on these motors.

Its my humble opinion that the bigger cc motors... 426 and up... can really use the p & p work. I've done minor porting and polishing on mine and I love it. 400/stockbore/10.2 to 1 (actual)/xr400cam
