big gun spark arrestor/400ex

I bought a big gun full exhaust for my 400ex. It has a built in spark arrestor. I am thinking about taking it out becouse it seems awfull restrictive. Is it worth the effort or will I see any diffrence in performance?

It should let air flow more freely equaling more power.

You will see no real difference from removing the screen style spark arrestor.:(

Just make sure you keep it clean-it tends to get gunked up with stuff. I used to just use a little handheld torch and just burn the crap out of it. :p I would just take it out...gives it a better sound IMO.

I was lening towards taking it out but it would be nice to be legal to ride in the forests for once. But if I wouldnt see any gains I would leave it in. By the way, I picked it up for 75$ for the full system.
