NEED HELP REJETTING CARB! for pipe

ok i bought a White Bros e series pipe......and i got a 158 main jet and a 42 pilot jet....the thing is i know where the main jet goes...but how should i take my carb off is it very hard??? and also can one of you guys tell me like step by step of what to do when i am rejetting the carb i need to know everything about it so i dont mess up my 4 wheeler.........PLEASE HELP THANKS

U dont have to remove the carb to change the main jet.

Look at the most bottom portion of the carb.

U will see a hex head bolt at the bottom of the bowl. Carefully unscrew it.

Find a socket that fits the jet.

Take that socket and put it in the hole. Feel around for the stock main jet. It's not centered in that hole. Unscrew the jet.

Install the main jet. Make it snug, but don't strip the soft brass threads.

Buy a manual from www.helminc.com to learn how to put the pilot jet in the carb and to do anything and everthing you may want to do to the 400. With that book, anything is possible. It's what I used to construct the monster you can read about below.

Also buy a torque wrench.
