Hey everyone,
I'm sure you've heard about what’s going on w/ Howard Stern and the FCC. Well this blatant attempt to take away our right to free speech goes way beyond Howard Stern and affects all of us. I just signed the petition for free speech at StopFCC.com and wanted to tell you about it. They are shooting for 1 million signatures and need all the support they can get. For those of you who think online petitions aren't real because you’re not actually signing it, you’re wrong. G W's predecessor Mr. Bill Clinton passed an online signature bill, before his term was finished, allowing a confirmed name and email address to be used as a valid signed signature. Petitions can be very powerful tools. The plan, from what I've heard, is to take this petition and show it to the men and women who are running for political offices in our states and explain to them that there are ___ people that will not vote for them if they support the FCC and what their trying to do.

Sign the petition now and support free speech at: http://www.stopfcc.com

Please get this to everyone you know and let's show that their still is power in number's and we will stand up for our rights!

The FCC has been too lax for too long. It's about time they clamped down! Do any of you have kids? Kids shouldn't be able to turn on the radio and "believe" it's okay to speak completely in expletives.... I won't be signing it.... but to each his own.

I signed. It upsets me very much to hear parents complaining about what thier children watch/listen to.Free speach is a constitutional right that many americans fought and died for.It is not the responsibility of the government to raise your children. If you don't want your children or yourself to see these things turn the channel or just turn it off period. If we give in to what is happening than we are no better than the Taliban or communist bastages that our country has long stood against. We are loosing more and more of our rights every day, what will be next?Did it honestly bother you that much to see a breast with a pastie? The only thing that botherd me was I didn't get to see both of them:devil:

Stand up be proud to be an American!!

Bill, I am a proud American. Here's the problem: Some people just push the envelope.... in order to get attention. Janet/MTV/Justin did that to stir up some publicity and guess what?, It worked! I don't expect anyone to raise my kids. However, I don't have to send them (or let them go) outside if a guy is walking down the street giving out porn and cursing. Do I? If you have kids... do you? You would either go out and take care of it yourself or call the cops. I think I'm correct on that. However, by interrupting his personal business, isn't that blocking his free speech? Hmmm... thats a tough one isn't it?

Oh yeah, one more thing: I really doubt my forefathers died so someone could scream out expletives and describe sexual acts on the radio/tv/media.
