I know that everyone says that putting a cr500 motor in a quad will rattle your teeth out and that it does not have a counter balancer. My question is why doesn't it rattle the dirt bike to peices? What is the difference except 2vs.4 wheels?

The rider will rattle apart before the bike. I have an old suzuki ts 400, and it vibrates so bad, it's not even fun to ride.
I'd like to ride a quad with a 500 cc 2 stroke engine, but I've never met anyone who could actually ride a cr500 to it's full potential.

I have a friend that has a CR500 motor on a frame. He wrecked it on the first pass he ever made though! He didnt have equal air pressure in his rear tires & when it rared up it got on the wheelie bar & the tires werent touching the ground so the un equal air pressure slung him into the metal guard rail. He basically did a supermann through the air when it slung him off. He hasnt messed with the bike since. He says its got way too much power.

Its the geometry of the frames and 2 contact points to the ground vs 4. This topic has been talked about indebt before. Just use 'seach'
