Anyone who has a 450R should check with there dealer about this. I got the following info off of another sites forums....

"thought that i would let everyone know that there is a recall on the trx450rs because the frame is breaking right above the swingarm bolt. . Got the info from my friend who has his order in for one and got a call from the local dealer in town that the next shipment is going to be delayed because of it. THIS IS NOT A JOKE."

I dought this too. But its better off people check then have someone get hurt or have the frame break later down the road and Honda not cover it. Just letting people know if it is true not trying to diss honda they make nice bikes. We got 2 and they are hard to kill.

sounds like the dealer is stringing him along so he doesnt get it elsewhere

Im pretty sure someone already asked about that. And it is a rumor... It was back when they were first coming out I think.

I highly doubt it. I think I would be one of the first to know as I work at the dealer and everyone there knows I have one and would tell me right away if it was the case.

I picked up my R on friday and they didn't say anything about any recall...
and i remember this being posted a while back about the same problem but that was just a rumor, so this just a rumor...
If there were to be a recall we would all recieve a letter from honda says what the recall is what the dealer would have to do, they did this for the 400ex a while back with the rear brake pads being improperly installed...

I heard this rumor a while ago and it is just that, a rumor, I would know if there was a recall too.

the part of the frame that the grab bar mounts on is bent . and im a die hard honda man

Thats a bunch of BS. I heard about that even before i got my R. Havent had a problem yet. Still wondering about the axle though. If anyone can help me with this, i would appreciate it.

isnt that a subframe? and isnt it made to bend so it dont tweek the frame

thats an aluminum sub frame and if its bent sounds like you rolled it pretty hard. :rolleyes:
