key assembly

I just got some new handlebars and im wondering how you get the key and oil light out of the assembly so i can take it off. Kind of hard to see under there to figure it out.

I'm not positive, but I think you just need to take out the 8mm bolt that is where the vent line goes,,,, then you should have enough room to get under there and take them apart

I got that bolt out but im going to need to relocate my ignition switch and oil light because of my bars. I just dont know how to pop them out of the assembly.

What size bars are you running?

im just got the renthal ones with the crossbar, im thinking the assembly wouldnt fit under the crossbar??

if you look at walkers pics, they are the same ones.

for the light just pop the lense out the front and the rubber socket pulls through the back side. The key switch will need to be unplugged. Once you get behind the black cover you should be able to see the two taps that hold it on. Just push the tabs in and pull the switch out the front.

It's a *****, I just ended up cutting the plastic piece because I was going to make a custom bracket anyways. =)
