Lt250R Frame

my friend has 2 Lt250Rs, now they bought an 89' alll fine and dandy, then they bought an 86, well after about 2 weeks off riding the 86, the top a arm mount on the left side broke when riding it. So they welded it, now the other day my friend was going over his 89, and found a crack in the same exact spot where the 86 broke, is this a common area for the frames to be braking? i had an 86 but never had any problems with the frame.

i have a friend who's '86 broke on both sides at that same point. that is one of the weak points of the LT's & it's a good idea to reinforce it if you ever find a crack...

i found a crack behind the footpeg on my '91 that i had gussetted.
that's the other location cracks are commonly found.
