this isnt the usuall tacoma750, this is his brother. My borhter just bought a 300 ex, and its a nice quad, but it lacks the power that im looking for. I really love the 400 ex. I ride trails and pits. The trails i ride are made for trucks, so they are pretty wide, and you can usually turn around in them without backing up. Do you think the 400ex is a good choice? How important is reverse? I also usually ride with a guy who has a 4x4, so he can pull me out if i get stuck. Thx for the help.

I only miss it when riding with my friends that have it, and they are ruthless about getting me into places where I need reverse, thinking nothing of the fact that I don't have it. So they stick it in reverse, I get off the bike and start tugging - not that big of a deal but it sucks when they do it over and over, and especially in the snow cause I'm fallin all over the place slippin and sliding.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, usually it isn't a big deal at all.

Youll live without it, reverse is just a plus, not a must.

I got a 300ex too. Reverse has gotten me unstuck a few times, but nothing i coldnt have jus pulled it out of. Matt 756 is right it's a need not a luxury. I would much rather have the extra power of a 400 and deal without the reverse. I ride in pits too. Tha more power the better.:D

I've got a 300ex and a 250r. Since I bought the r I haven't even taken the ex out of the garage.
